RMIT Racing prides itself on being one of the top Formula SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) teams in the world, and our results depict this.

The past twenty four months has seen RMIT Racing win the prestigious Formula SAE World Championship event in Detroit, in the United States of America against more than 100 other University teams from around the world.

Only weeks later, the team placed second at the Formula SAE event in California, again in the United States of America.

The team capped off what was to be a perfect year by winning the Formula SAE-Australasia event held in December in Melbourne against 26 University teams, again from all over the world.

The team continued their success at the Formula Student Event, held in the UK in July of 2007; an event which RMIT Racing eventually won in convincing style.

However, to design, build, develop and race these Formula-style vehicles, requires a substantial investment of capital and time.

RMIT Racing relies on the generous support of our many sponsors and technical partners, as well as RMIT University; all of whom have been the driving force behind the team’s successful campaigns in the last few years, and in particular the last twelve months.  

The RMIT University Formula SAE team strives to provide its supporters with as much exposure as possible. It does this through attending events throughout the year, displaying one or more of the teams cars as well as signage of all the teams supporters. Company logos of sponsors and technical partners are displayed on team merchandise, promotional posters and, depending on the level of support, on the 2008 car at the FSAE-Australasia event and any other events our cars may be taken to.
